Starting with 140 years old facade restoration, design work under strict regulation- through construction, inspection, purchasing, furniture, decoration, inauguration event and closing rentals contracts.

An urban legend tells that the first Panamanian flag was sewn in this house, That has been built in 1877.
Together with 6 houses around it, Bandera originally was an upper-class mansion .
In 2012 the house was bought by Dekel Holdings, counting with 219 m2.
It was envisioned to become a mixed-use building; exploring finishes connect the historical sense of the building with the modern times.
After examining different conceptual options, designing and getting all approve, on 2016 construction work has been started.
The final product, counting with 784 m2, 4% non saleable area ,divided in 2 commercial spaces on the ground floor, each one with a historical water well, discovered during archeological excavations; and 3 apartments, two of them with balconies towards Calle 4ta, and a penthouse crowned with a rooftop terrace that shows the city and Casco Viejo sights.

The relation of the building with the habitants of the abandoned houses, visit those houses to get inspiration, colors, geometry, floor samples.
It was an empty house, with a brick wall as the only evidence of the previous construction. Those bricks were stored and eventually used to restore the water wells were founded.
Casa Bandera inauguration event, was the third House of Art, with a salsa street party.
